Stanley Park Seawall III

Seawall 0060

Above is a section of the 22 kilometer long Stanley Park Seawall.  Construction of it began in 1917 and was declared officially completed in 1980 but since then it has been extended outside of the park.  Much of the work done on it in its first 35 years of construction was overseen by master stone mason James Cunningham.

In the above photo I brought out the blue coloring of the rock to show you that Cunningham went to great lengths to use rock from the same source.  The below image uses the rocks coloring to match it to the blue night sky and as contrast to the red of the lunar eclipse.  Both the moon and the planet, Venus, if I remember correctly, are from a different photograph of mine.
