Vancouver Convention Centre

Canada Place is actually the east section of the Vancouver Convention Centre that had its West Building completed in 2009.  Together they combine to make one of the largest convention centres in Canada.  This first photo is of Canada Place as seen from the West Building in the moments before a February sunrise.

In the bottom left corner is a sculpture known as “The Drop”.  It is 20 metres high and is shaped like a raindrop as it represents the relationship between Vancouver and the water that surrounds this port city.
